Windows 10X is slow, causing hardware manufacturers such as Lenovo to crash

Recently, according to the latest report, Microsoft is too slow on the new Windows 10X system, which makes Lenovo have to adjust the rhythm of new push.

At CES in January this year, Lenovo announced that it plans to release the ThinkPad X1 Fold, a folding screen computer, in mid-2020, equipped with Windows 10X. However, the situation has changed now, and the ThinkPad X1 Fold is likely to be the first to carry the Windows 10 system.

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 10X will be released first for single-screen notebooks. At present, the optimization for folding-screen notebooks and dual-screen notebooks is not perfect, so the official release of Windows 10X system is delayed until 2021, which does not match the release time of ThinkPad X1 Fold.

From the perspective of previous foreign media, Windows 10X for dual-screen devices and folding-screen devices focuses on screen touch, and a lot of gesture operations are integrated into the system. For example, swiping up can start the “Start” menu, Like some current Android launchers.

A situation that may disgust traditional PC users is that the multitasking parallelism of WIndows 10X is just like the original Windows 8 system, either full screen or split screen, and windowed applications are not allowed. This operation will make the traditional PC user look less computer.

So judging from the current situation, it is Microsoft who is holding everyone back.

On top of that, there was also news today that with virtualization on Windows 10X and compatibility levels still not high, Microsoft is working on a performance issue with Win32 apps.
